Item Description
Bid on signed copies of GDS parent Becky Wolsk's two novels, Food and Worry and Six Words . Both novels are set in DC's "bourgeois bohemia." Food and Worry is the story of a late bloomer who complicates her life (and her anxiety level) by submitting a wildly inaccurate and self-aggrandizing update to her college alumni magazine. Six Words also revolves around a lie. The novel is set in a fictitious DC charter school, where the protagonist is a curriculum designer and sustainable foods activist. She threatens her career and her values by telling one of the school's pro-bono attorneys that she can control any man with six words. You can find out more about Becky's work at www.textislepatchwork.com. The winning bidder will receive one signed copy of each novel. These are fun to read on the beach by people who don't usually buy or read beach reads (or rather, who don't admit to reading beach reads). But you can also read them anywhere and you will recognize a LOT of NW DC social conventions.
