Item Description
Calling all up and coming jewelry designers! The Corcoran Gallery of Art will open their Georgetown studio doors for a private two-hour introductory jewelry-making class on October 7, 2013. Part of the Corcoran School of Art and Design's Continuing Education program, this class will provide participants with the basic skills needed to design and fabricate their own jewelry, including piercing, filing, finishing, soldering, forming, and basic embellishment techniques, as well as simple clasps. The class will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m at the Corcoran's studio in Georgetown. The day will conclude with lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. with members of the painting class in the studio. The class will be open to both Sidwell Friends and Georgetown Day School families.
