Item Description
Project Paso 2010 Old Vine Zinfandel - 2 bottles
This 2010 Zinfandel shows its Paso roots in its floral, rose petal nose, wrapped around a core of black cherry, blackberry, and classic Zinfandel white pepper. The flavors well-balanced, with wild cherry, red currant, and cranberry, matched with peppery, brambly notes. A nice array of spices lingers on the palate, from cinnamon bark to fruity ancho chile towards the finish. Medium-bodied with excellent freshness from this cool vintage, this smooth, balanced Zinfandel is a prime example of Paso Robles Zinfandel.
Project Paso 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon - 3 bottles
The Paso Robles terroir lends our 2010 Cabernet an undercurrent of earthiness that adds depth to the aroma of dark cherry and black raspberry. Hints of coffee and black pepper also add complexity to the pure dark fruit profile. The palate shows the same bright, focused fruit flavor, with blackberry, black currant, and a dusty red soil element. Four different types of French and American oak are well-integrated, contributing subtle notes of toffee on the mid-palate, followed by vanilla, caramel and spice. The mouthfeel is silky and muscular, and the restrained alcohol levels from the cool growing season makes this Cabernet Sauvignon a great match for richer fare.
Available for pick up in Sonoma, CA only.
