Item Description

In a not-too-distant future, the surviving members took refuge inside
the giant, glass domes. But inside these Eden-like bubbles, they soon
discovered that this was far from any paradise.  (And it's worth mentioning that the ghost figure glows in the dark.)

Michael Campbell’s mixed media sculptures combine a vast array
of materials and found objects together to form miniature worlds.
Ghost towns of the future, broken utopian civilizations, apocalyptic
prophecies, folk magic, esoteric knowledge, and architectural decay
in miniature; these are scale models of a coming age.

Campbell's work has been exhibited throughout parts of the United
States including Brooklyn, New York and San Francisco, California.
International exhibitions include Paris, France, Vancouver, B.C.,
Edinburgh, Scotland, and London, England. In 2008 and again in
2010, Campbell took part in the Djerassi Artist Residency Program in
Woodside, California.

Campbell received an MFA in Sculpture from the University of
Arizona in Tucson. He lives and works in San Francisco.
