You'll take a photo together on the iconic Capitol steps and then Congresswoman Speier will take your group to lunch at the Members Dining Room where you'll likely rub elbows with America's most powerful movers and shakers. What's more, should you like to tour other attractions like the White House, Mint, Library of Congress, Supremem Court, State Department, Pentagon or Spy Museum during your stay in D.C., Congresswoman Speier's staff will personally set it up. This is your opportunity to hear first-hand the Hillsborough resident's incredible life story, one that includes being shot while investigating the Reverend Jim Jones, in what would become part of the infamous Jonestown Massacre. Congresswoman Speier was also the first woman in the California State Assembly to give birth while serving as a member, a widowed single mom who overcame incredible challenges to forge her political career.
