Item Description

As we walk with harmony, Our unified step becomes a march. - Sid Dickens

Complete your Sid Dickens' 2008 Empire Collection with "Concord" Memory Block (T-201) or start your own Sid Dickens art wall. This piece of art measures 8" x 6" x 1-1/2". It is brand new and never taken out of the box for display. The Empire Collection was retired on December 1, 2009 and is no longer available for purchase on the artist's website.

Sid Dickens is the original collectible wall plaque handmade in Canada since 1995. The Memory Blocks are interactive, timeless and capturing pieces of history as tangible, enchanting collectible art for modern life. Carefully handcrafted from start to finish in our Vancouver-based studio, each Memory Block undergoes a unique process at the hands of numerous highly skilled and specialized artisans using traditional raw materials and artistic techniques.

About the Empire Collection: Civilizations come and go; kings and emperors are born, die, and born again. Cities and kingdoms and people that inhabit them all subject to the permanent impermanence of time. Our time living remembered through monolithic ruins, our expressions given immortality through themes of love and allegiance. This Spring 2008, Sid Dickens plays his part with his creation of the “Empire” Collection, a series of Memory Blocks possessing a demure beauty that will speak their eloquence for seasons to come. Nine beautifully designed tiles to remind each of us of our place in history and those who’ve shared it. History becomes legend, time submits to the influence of ages; eras defined by people and the ones who lead them. Sid Dickens, ever strengthening his fellowship with time, emboldens his place amongst us with “Empire”, a regal manifestation of life and living.
