Item Description
lolanthe or The Peer and the Peri, was first performed in 1882, and is considered by many to be Gilberts most pointed attack on the House of Lords and the aristocracy as ineffective and dim-witted. The plot is so absurd, however, that the satirical elements are presented in an atmosphere of great fun and hard to take too seriously. Take in a performance for two people at one of these locations: August 2-3, 2013 at Lesher Center for the Arts, Walnut Creek, August 10, 2013 at Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, August 16-17 at Lam Research Theater at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco.
