Cope Family Center and Napa Bike partner to offer the winning bidder one space (of only 25!) in the 2013 Legendary Napa Valley Bike Tour and overnight accommodations for two at the renowned Villagio Inn & Spa in Yountville.
Napa Bike has organized the ultimate wine country cycling experience for Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1 in the heart of the Napa Valley. This exclusive event features a 55-mile bike ride with George Hincapie, a genuine legend who competed in a record 17 Tours de France, and Bob Roll, the renowned American commentator covering all of cycling’s grand tours. You and your guest will begin your legendary Napa Valley vacation by checking into The Villagio Inn & Spa, an AAA Four Diamond Award-winning hotel, for a two night stay. From there the two of you will attend a gourmet welcome dinner prepared by one of Napa’s rising culinary stars. The dinner is preceded by Master of Wine Peter Marks leading a private tasting of world class reserve wines from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards.
Friday morning, the cyclist of the couple will begin the day with breakfast at Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford where the lucky group of riders will set off for a tour of the quieter roads of rural Napa County. Pine Ridge Winery is the lunch rest stop where executive chef Janet Sheehan will prepare a light meal to fuel the riders for the final leg of their journey through Napa Valley to Velo Vino in St. Helena, where Gary Erickson’s crew will welcome the peloton for a session of story-telling and jersey signing by George and Bob—all of which will be enjoyed with more great food and fine wine from Clif Family Vineyards.
The other member of the couple will enjoy the stunning grounds of the historic V Marketplace, home to boutique specialty shops and art galleries, champagne breakfast, before meeting up with the group at Clif Family Vineyards.
Only twenty-five people will participate in this exclusive wine country cycling, wine tasting, and gourmet dining adventure tour. Each of the twenty-five participants will receive a special commemorative cycling jersey signed by George Hincapie and Bob Roll.
Proceeds from this auction lot will be split between Cope, to support child abuse prevention efforts, and the Coalition, to support its goals to make Napa County more bicycle-friendly for cyclists of all types and persuasions.
