Dance/10 Performing Arts Center established performing arts camps and workshops in Alameda in 1989 to provide local youth and teens with an outlet to sing, dance, act, perform and have fun! Our instructors maintain a professional atmosphere, while our programs offer a variety of performing experiences from stage productions and festival performances to intensive educational enrichment.

Note: Students should bring a lunch. Students should dress in clothing they are able to comfortably move in.

Choose from 3 camps:

Broadway Camp
(ages 5-15)
June 17-21, 2013 Monday - Friday

Become a “Triple Threat!” Learn how to sing, dance and act—like a professional! You will be instructed on tips for auditioning, performance techniques, stage and theater etiquette, hair, makeup, costumes, sets and lighting techniques. Learn the history of musical theater through lectures and video.

This camp/workshop is run like a summer stock program and is a fantastic introduction into musical theater for kids and a concentrated training for teens without the pressure of their academic studies. This year’s shows will be mini versions of Beauty and the Beast and Annie. Performance on Friday June 21st at Dance/10 at 7:00pm.

So You Think You Can Dance Camp
(ages 5-13)
July 1-5,2013 (No class Thrus. July 4^th)
11:00am – 3:00pm
A fun filled week, during which students will be trained in Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Hip Hop.   The emphasis for this program will be on learning the different styles of dance. On the final day of camp students are encouraged to bring a friend to celebrate dance during our So You Think You Can Dance Party.  During the party students will share what they have learned during the entire camp.

Ballerina & Princess Camp
(ages 3-6)
Ballerina Camp – Monday – Friday, June 24-28, 2013

Princess Camp – Monday – Friday, June 24-28, 2013
12:00pm – 2:00pm
Has your child ever dreamed of being a princess or a ballerina? Have your child experience their dream in one of our camps designed for preschoolers (ages 3-6). Princess campers will dance, sing and act like a different Disney princess each day. Family and friends are invited to attend the “Princess Ball” on the last day of camp. Ballerina campers will be twirling with grace and poise around the room. Each day will include an arts and craft project.
