Item Description
Do you want to learn to knit? This is a unique hands-on opportunity to get the help you need, consisting of three 2-hour classes taught in your home for you and your friends, with teachers Lauren Lax, Roderick Mobley, and Deb Jensen. In the first class, students cast on and knit working on a scarf as the first project. The second class lets you build on those skills after some practice time between classes. In the third class you will learn how to bind off, and perhaps some advanced techniques like colorwork, cables, even spinning if students are ready or curious. The goal is to cover the 4 basics of knitting: casting on, knitting, purling and casting off. You will make a lovely scarf to prove to yourself you've done it! You will need one skein Cascade 220 or similar yarn and size 8 needles.
