Item Description
Since its founding in Napa Valley in 1969 by two former aerospace engineers who shared a dream of producing world class wines similar to those from the renowned Burgundy region of France, ZD Wines has graced the tables of White House dinner parties, garnered over 342 awards of excellence in prestigious competitions and was named Winery of the Year by the Wine & Spirits Buying Guide.
The grapes for this delicious 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon were sourced from several small Napa Valley vineyards, each with its own unique “terroir”. Each lot was harvested separately and fermented in small stainless steel open top fermentors to maximize flavors. Hand punchdowns every eight hours ensure an efficient, gentle extraction of color and tannin. Aged for two years in small American oak barrels, this wine is drinking great right now and will, as all ZD Cabernets do, age gracefully for many years to come.
