Item Description

A master of contemporary basketry, Kempton weaver Angie Wagner of Woven Branch Designs contributed this hand-woven mini packbasket. With a design that mimics the traditional packbasket used by Maurice Broun and all other counters who followed, this item makes the perfect desk or wall accessory for any Hawk Mountain friend.

Mini packbasket is made from natural rattan reed with an ash handle and twisted seagrass rope and finished with Shaker tape strapes in navy.

Item Special Note

Angie specializes in handwoven contemporary baskets, gourd, and fiber art, and is a juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the PA Guild fo Craftsmen. She teaches twice monthly classes at her family's basketweaving supply store, The Country Seat, which is conveniently located in Kempton, just past the New Bethel Church.

Meet Angie and see her demonstrate her craft at the Annual Hawk Mountain Arts Tour & Sale on Saturday, June 1.
