This is the full transcript from Paul's FB page on 6/2/12: The two cats pictured are orange boys Lefty and Dutch and newcomeer (black) Stevie the Wonder Cat...
"Everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the newest member of my little family, sweetness Stevie (a.k.a. Stevie the Wonder Cat). Stevie came to the family from Meow Village down in Aurora, OR (about three and a half hour...s south of Seattle). I drove down this morning and brought him back up to his new home and furever family.

Stevie is three and a half years old and was a community cat living in an apartment complex and was, unfortunately, fed a steady diet of dog food and cottage cheese during his first two years. As a result, Stevie had developed a severe Taurine deficiency.

Later on, Stevie was adopted by a Vietnam vet who, with the greatest of intentions, took Stevie into his home and cared for him. Unfortunately, the gentleman has since developed terminal health issues which precluded further care of sweetness Stevie but fortunately he had the presence of mind to surrender Stevie to Meow Village rather than to the shelter system. Several people stepped forward to adopt sweetness Stevie following a posting on facebook by BCR, but unfortunately he has some litter box and health issues and, as a result, the would-be adopters stepped down or otherwise disappeared. I had offered to take-in Stevie were they not able to place him locally and, following a phone  conversation and several e-mails, I was asked whether or not Stevie would still be welcomed with The Boys and me….

Anyway, Stevie is now in his furever home. He asked me if he were at all like his new brothers and I told him that he has the most beautiful coat in the world; just like his new brothers. He then asked me what his and his new brothers’ coats looked like and I told him that they all looked liked that as the sun felt on his face and he seemed quite pleased with that answer. So, mum’s the word. And if anyone lets the, uh, how shall I say it, “cat out of the bag,” then they will have to answer to me, Stevie’s heavily-armed dad. And if that isn’t enough incentive to enforce compliance…then they’ll have to answer to Lefty and Dutch, too! ;)"
