Item Description
Beautiful thick disks of old Chinese turquoise can be used for meditation or worn for their beauty. Mala means sacred garland in Sanskrit and is a very meaningful symbol of our connection to nature and compassion for humankind. This substantial necklace measures 30 inches in total, and has the traditional brown tassel at the back. Traditionally there would be 108 beads, one for each letter of the Sanskrit alphabet. In ancient yogic texts, there are 108 Vedas, and it is a number significant to Indian philosophies. Each of the graduated stone disks measure from ¼ to 3/8 inch thick. The color of these stones is a true turquoise blue.
