Often called the “Island of the Gods” and nestled between Java and Lombok, exotic and mystical Bali promises a truly unique experience. Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran overlooks a lagoon, opposite Jimbaran Bay on Bali’s southwestern coast. Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport (DPS), is only a 20-minute drive away.

For the Balinese, religion represents the single most important aspect in life. Their rich culture is best seen at one of numerous temples, including the majestic Mengwi Temple or Pura Besakih, Bali’s largest and holiest. Surrounded by lush paddy fields in the centre of the island, the artist colony of Ubud is not to be missed. Artisans and craftsmen’s heritage skills can be learned there, and visitors can also browse the many galleries selling original, local artwork. Along the way, stroll through the sacred Sangeh Monkey Forest. A short drive into the mountains reveals a commanding view of Lake Bratan and its renowned Hindu temple. The active Agung and Batur volcanoes are also popular destinations.

Bali’s enriching outdoor activities invite discovery. In addition to Jimbaran Bay’s calming waters and golden-sand beaches, guests can play a round of golf on one of the numerous courses around the island amid breathtaking scenery. Other options include mountain biking, trekking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, fishing, snorkeling, diving, surfing, paragliding, bungee jumping, and skydiving.

There is an abundance of wonderful shopping in Bali, particularly in Seminyak and neighbouring Legian. Situated 30 to 40 minutes from the hotel, unique boutiques and small shops sell furniture, linens, jewellery, clothing, textiles, batik, pottery, curios, and household items. Other indigenous items include coffee and vanilla beans, handmade soaps, bath salts, incense, and aromatic oils. Meanwhile, gourmets will delight in the local gastronomy, including the famed seafood restaurants located just across from the hotel at the Jimbaran Seafood Centre. Diners can enjoy a delicious meal on the beach while watching the sunset. For late-night revellers, myriad entertainment options can be found in nearby Kuta.
