“Malibu Beach Foam” created by Carolyn Kramer, is informed by the environment. Mountains, ocean, rivers, forests, and fields inspire much of her art. This particular work is inspired by  Malibu’s beaches. Here nature blends patterns and colors in tide marks, layers of sea and whimsical water splashes. The bottom of the ocean floor emerge onto her canvas expressing a soulful, ethereal sense of design, color and paint application. The concept of incorporating the simple intimate beauty of nature as translated into art captures a moment at the beach. 

Microscopic images come from her own photographs or sketches and are expanded 1000% using acrylic mediums. Carolyn’s paintings simultaneously express both dramatic and serene sensibilities and create a visual meditation on environmental beauty.

Carolyn is an American born artist who lives between Los Angeles and Vancouver, Canada. “Malibu Beach Foam” painting was influenced by a recent exhibit “Elements of Influence” which occurred in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in February 2013. This exhibit can be viewed on her website:

This new California series “Malibu Beach Foam” paintings was especially created for donation for Carolyn’s grand-daughters’ Los Encino’s school auction.  (Other paintings from this series recently sold for $2000)

If the winner is a member of the Los Encinos School community, no shipping charge will be assessed, and the winner may pick the item up at Los Encinos School once a distribution day is announced (approx 5 days after the auction closes and payments are processed).

For biddders living in the Los Angeles area, you may pick the item up by appointment once the auction closes and payment has been processed.  Please email immediately when auction closes, so item is not shipped.

*For other winning bidders, first class USPS Postage or UPS ground shipping charges will be added to this item.  The item will be shipped with a tracking number.  (If one bidder wins multiple items, we will attempt to consolidate shipping and reduce charges.  Based on size, shape and packaging of some items, this may not always be possible.)
