Item Description
David La Puma, ornithologist and birdwatching guide, will lead your group (up to 5 people) on a full day birding adventure through the grasslands, marshes and pine forests of Portage, Wood and Adams Counties. This area hosts some of the most important nesting habitat for Wisconsin's threatened and endangered species including the Federally Endangered Kirtland's Warbler, the spectacular Greater Prairie Chicken, Upland Sandpiper, Red-headed Woodpecker as well as many more song birds, raptors, and wading birds. This trip will be primarily by car caravan with multiple stops to get out and watch birds.
