Item Description
These three extraordinary sculptures from renowned French sculptor Thierry Deroche are a special opportunity to purchase the work of one of Paris' most inventive artists, whose works have been exhibited in galleries across France.
A former financial executive for important French and American groups, Thierry Deroche’s double life started out in a peculiar Parisian suburb: Dana, a place where human life is practically absent. A place where machinery is omnipresent, almost autonomous.
A few years ago, working as a cost controller in a factory producing automotive pieces, Thierry came across his first call for artistic creation: “My prefab office was at the center of a warehouse. Each morning, I had to go through the central path with shrill noises it was thrilling!” He started collecting pieces, most of all wasted industrial materials, transforming them into robotic sculptures. Pots, industrial tubes, flexible or sheath, find an organic aspect in Thierry’s works.
These three unique robots will take pride of place in your home.
