Item Description
A Friend of WXXI offers two framed 1987 photos of MIDTOWN PLAZA AT CHRISTMAS. Along with Sibley, Lindsay and Curr Co. department store, Midtown Plaza was once a popular holiday shopping destination for families in Rochester. The 1980's saw a larger Magic Mountain and some of the most lavishly decorated Christmas trees at the mall. These two photographs show them and the monorail on December 14, 1987, the 25th anniversary year of the opening of the complex. The walnut finished frame measures 23 x 18 inches and the photographs are archival framed with acid and lignin-free 100% cotton rag boards under ultra-violet light filtering museum glass. Bid high for a handsome presentation of a Rochester tradition!
