- Item Number
- 409
Item Description
On June 13, 2012, San Francisco Giant Matt Cain pitched the first perfect game (no opposing batters reaching first base) in Giants' franchise history. Cain's 125 pitches were the most thrown in a Major League perfect game; the Giants recorded 10 runs, the most by any team in a perfect game; and by scoring a run in the 5th inning, Cain became the only pitcher to have scored a run in his perfect game. A wonderful piece of memorabilia, this b aseball is autographed by Matt Cain with the inscription "P.G. 6/13/12," and includes a Highland Mint certificate of authenticity.
