Item Description

Sowing the Seeds of Well-Being

Kent Burnett, Ph.D. and Margaret Crosbie-Burnett, Ph.D.

A few years ago we embarked upon a journey to transform our many years of teaching and research experience into a highly accessible book that could be used by people of all ages (from teenagers to seniors) to maximize their own and others' "well-being."

The result of this long and inspiring journey is our new book, Sowing the Seeds of Well-Being. The book draws on both ancient wisdom and contemporary research in the social and behavioral sciences to provide a groundbreaking and easy to follow model for shaping one's internal thoughts and outward behaviors in a constructive manner.

In Sowing the Seeds of Well-Being, we have a conversation with the reader regarding how to create a life of well-being, specifically: (a) introducing "Apple Well-Being" as a way of life, (b) explaining methods for responding to life's changes and challenges through constructive attitudes, actions, and interactions, and (c) showing the reader how to implement a personalized plan for a life of well-being.

Inspirational poetry and artwork enliven the text of Sowing the Seeds of Well-Being, making it a fun and effortless read.  The book includes 59 pages of colorful photos, poems, illustrations, and humor, out of a total of 201 pages. While visually and aesthetically enjoyable, Sowing the Seeds of Well-Being also includes many practical self-assessments and personal growth activities. Sowing the Seeds of Well-Being is a wonderful tool for everyone who is interested in maximizing well-being in their own and others' lives.
