Item Description
This is one of those coins you don't see alot of. Issued for the Statue of Liberty Centennial, it is the First ever commemorative Half Dollar stuck in copper/nickel "Clad". Each comes mounted in an archival capsule.
Total of 20 coins.
These are specially struck specimen proof coins that were struck at the United States Mint at San Francisco. "Proof" issues feature highly reflective mirror-like fields & have frosted "Cameo" devices. Proof coins represent the finest & the best in coin production.
All of these were selected for minimal toning & "problem free" quality.
