Enjoy a week’s stay for four people at Checkers Cottage on Beaufort Estate, in the grounds of fabulous Beaufort Castle near Inverness in Scotland.

 

 

 

 

Beaufort Estate is located approximately 12 miles from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, and overlooks the River Beauly. Beaufort Castle is an outstanding red sandstone castle built in the Scots Baronial manner and designed by the famous architects Wardrop & Reid. The castle is surrounded by ancient parkland and has many outstanding architectural features including pepperpot turrets, crow stepped gables, gargoyles and corbelled battlements. 

 Guests will have plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent surroundings and explore the local countryside. 

 

The cottage is on the edge of the estate with fabulous views.  

Ground floor - Kitchen, bathroom/shower room, living/dining room with open fireplace, sitting room with wood burning stove, steep staircase 
Upper floor - Two twin bedrooms (Sleeps 4)

Facilities - All linen/towels included, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, wash/dry machine, microwave, crockery/cutlery/pans etc, freeview tv, dvd player, cd player with dab radio, wood for fires, parking, garden furniture and baby equipment upon request. 

There are numerous outdoor activities in the area or enjoy shopping and sightseeing in the bustling city of Inverness.

Historically Beaufort Castle was the seat of the Clan Fraser of Lovat but is now privately owned by Scottish entrepreneur and philanthropist Ann Gloag.
