Item Description

This beautiful collaborative quilt created by the Crew 6 Super Pandas, Suzanne Mitchell's 1st grade class, and inspired by their "Wet World" expedition.

Each child created one of the unique drawings featuring a different weather scene, and embroidered a square with a symbol of weather.  Beautifully assembled with batik fabrics.

Each student has been studying a specific type of weather and its effects on our lives and on the Earth. You can try to guess what type of weather each student is studying by observing his or her quilt patch! Julie Marks, Mei Linn's mom, worked with us for several months to help the children create the artwork seen on the quilt patches. And many more moms and dads helped them embroider the sun, snowflake, and rain patches.

Item Special Note

Special thanks to Anna who has lovingly quilted this masterpiece, and to Ben Franklin for donating a portion of the materials.
