Dan’s most recent conceptual work will be on view for the month of June in the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Main Library.
His works include pieces relating to precision in craftsmanship and unexpected scale, as well as his most focused attempt to date at creating an empty algorithm including 105 cylinders in an undulating pattern. It is a meditation on number theory.
Dan Packard began weaving back in 1970, but the day he got his hands in clay he never looked back. In high school he worked as a production potter then he went on to graduate from the Alfred College of Ceramics. After graduating he came back to New Mexico to continue on with his love of pottery. He founded Bruen Pottery and for the last 20 years Dan has been producing dinnerware with his special formula for his glazes. Each of his glazes are specifically suited for Dan's work to give the perfect accent to your table. Each of his pieces are carefully made to make them a functioning work of art for any home.Come see more of Dan's work at San Pasquale's Furnishing and Decor in Old Town, Albuquerque.
