Item Description
This beautiful collaborative quilt created by the Crew 5 Cheerful Chihuahuas, Andrea Meyers' 1st grade class, and inspired by their "Wet World" expedition.
Each child created one of the unique drawings featuring a different weather scene, and embroidered a square with a symbol of weather.
Each student has been studying a specific type of weather and its effects on our lives and on the Earth. You can try to guess what type of weather each student is studying by observing his or her quilt patch! Julie Marks worked with the children for several months to help the them create the artwork seen on the quilt patches. And many more moms and dads helped the kids embroider the sun, snowflake, and rain patches.
Item Special Note
Special thanks to Cathy Fouyer, Liliana's grandmother, sewed the patches together to make this beautiful quilt.
