Self Taught
My name is Leonard Baca. I am a printer, photographer, gardener and ceramic artist. I began working with clay for three years; my interest sparked attending workshops offered by New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists (NMPCA) at Ghost Ranch. I am currently on the Board of NMPCA. I have continued pursuing my passion for stoneware, sculpture & porcelain. I love trying new clay bodies to see how far I can push the clay and see what can be done with it. Each clay body has it own feel and how it reacts with the glazes. I draw my inspiration from the New Mexico landscape and from my years working with wood, paper and ink. New Mexico potters have so much to teach us, thank you all for your years of knowledge & skill and sharing it with us all.
