-2 hours total may be used in 30 minute increments.

Financing a college education is a challenge for many families. I am offering a financial aid consultation

to demystify the process. The consultation can consist of any (or all) of the following:

• Aid eligibility review

• Assistance in completing applications

• Award analysis and assistance in negotiating counter-offers (where applicable)

• Review options for paying the balance, including loan and payment plan options.

Families of college-bound juniors and seniors will benefit the most from this consultation.

About Kathy Anderson

Kathy Anderson is an expert in paying for college and college financial aid. She has been in the field

for 21 years and is currently the Director of Financial Aid for the MGH Institute of Health Professions

in Boston. Her resume also includes ten years in college lending, with eight of those years at MEFA

(Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority). She was the vice president of a consulting group

where she assisted community colleges, large state institutions and highly selective private institutions

with financial aid matters. She has been a presenter both locally and nationally on topics ranging from

college savings plans to strategic student loan repayment. Ms. Anderson is the 2013-14 president-elect

for the Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA), the state-wide

professional organization for all aid administrators. She lives in Belmont with her husband and son, who

is a first grader at Winn Brook Elementary School and a very big fan of Joey’s Park.
