Tim Fain, Violin
Tim Fain is an up-and-coming young violinist who was most recently seen on screen and heard on the soundtrack of the film Black Swan.
Pei-Yao Wang, Piano
Pei-Yao Wang is the youngest pianist ever to receive the overall First Prize in the Taiwan National Piano Competition, at the age of eight. Since then, she has become one of the most talented emerging young artists.
Ida Levin, Peter Stumpf, & Cynthia Raim
Ida Levin, Violin
Ida Levin began her violin studies at the age of three, making her professional debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the age of ten. Since then, she she has made solo appearances with the New York String Orchestra under Alexander Schneider at both Carnegie Hall and Washington’s D.C.’s Kennedy Center and many others. She currently teaches at the Sander Vegh International Chamber Music Academy in Prague.
Peter Stumpf, Cello
Educated at the Curtis Institute of Music, Peter spent twelve years as the associate principal of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He is currently teaching full time at Indiana University’s Jacob School of Music.
Cynthia Raim, Piano
Cynthia graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in 1977 after studying with Rudolf Serkin and Mieczyslaw Horszowski. Her playing has been accorded the highest esteem by her colleagues and lovers of classical. She won first prize at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition, and was the first recipient of the "Distinguished Artist Award" of the Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia.
Pamela Frank, & Mikael Eliasen
Pamela Frank, Violin
Pamela Frank is an international acclaimed violinist who has performed with some of today's most distinguished soloists such as Peter Serkin, Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax and ensembles. Ms. Frank joined the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music in 1996.
Mikael Eliasen, Piano
Danish-born coach and accompanist Mikael Eliasen, has performed with many acclaimed singers Since 1988, he has been the head of the music department at Curtis Institute of Music.
