Item Description

This amazing, unique chicken coop is currently being handbuilt by Summerfield's 3rd grade students and parents, inspired by the Russian Fairy Tale, Baba Yaga.

It's built entirely of recycled redwood. The roof is covered with heavy tar paper and all seams are tarred as well. The straw roof covering is sturdily attached with wire and provides protection from the sun. The floor of the coop includes a removable panel that makes cleaning easy. The peak of the roof is crowned by a carved redwood egg that is gilded with 23.5 karat Italian gold leaf!

It is roughly five feet in diameter, octagonal, and houses 6-8 chickens comfortably. Coop includes two beautiful Felton Acres' laying chickens.

Item Special Note

The coop will be finished soon & we will have photos of the end product...stay tuned.
