Hank Snow's Gibson Acoustic - Nashville legend!
- Item Number
- 126
Item Description
1940s (we think) Gibson acoustic guitar that was purchased from Nashville legend & Country Music Hall-of-Famer Hank Snow! Looks to be an L-series x-braced flattop. Unfortunately Snow said that he had accidentially sat down on it at some point and so the top is buckled a bit by the pickguard. The bracing is damaged underneath the pickguard. There are some hairline fractures on the front, and a small hairline fracture on the back. Bridge needs fixing. It still plays pretty well, sounds nice as is (though problems playing higher frets on the high E and B strings). But if you wanted to put some restoration money into this you'd have a wonderful instrument. At any rate you'll own a piece of American music history with this instrument.
