Abraham Ravett is a 1999 Grantee of the Foundation for Jewish Culture's Lynn and Jules Kroll Fund for Jewish Documentariy Film.  He is a professor of filmmaking and photography at Hampshire College. Abraham Ravett was born in Poland in 1947, raised in Israel, and emigrated to the United States in 1955. He has been an independent filmmaker for the past thirty years. Ravett's films included in this package are Everything's For You and Piyut I-V which are in limited edition and not available on Amazon.

Everything's For You reflects the fimmaker's relationship with his deceased father, a man who survived both the Lodz Ghetto and Auschwitz. The film utilizes a combination of previously shot material (1974-78), family photographs, archival footage, optically printed current footage, cell animation sequences (by Emily Hubley), and computer graphics to create a mosaic, a meditation on filial relationships. Dialogue is in both Yiddish and English. http://faculty.hampshire.edu/aravett/dvds/everythings_for_you.html
