Item Description

The winner of this lot will receieve a private dance lesson of one hour with local choreographer/director Matthew McCoy.  The winner can be of any age and experience.  Matthew is able to help instruct in ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theatre.  The lesson will be constructed of technique, across the floor, and learning a musical theatre combination.

A little informaiton on Matthew...

Matthew McCoy is a dancer, actor, singer, director, choreographer, designer, and overall lover for the theatre.  He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre from Coastal Carolina University.  Professional credits include Chicago (Harry), Guys&Dolls (Harry the Horse), The 39 Steps (Clown 1), The Producers (Leo Bloom), The Sound of Music, Curtains, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Toddy, Hairspray and A Year with Frog and Toad.  

 

Favorite roles include Into the Woods (The Baker), Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear), A Servant of Two Masters (Arlecchino), The Wizard of Oz (Cowardly Lion), The Music Man, and BIGFOOT (Maximum Grey), a new musical by Tony-winning composer Mark Hollman.   Matthew is new to the Bay area having recently moved from the East Coast and now works in the admin department at Berkeley Playhouse.
