Autographed copies of two books: Why War Is Never a Good Idea, illustrated by Stefano Vitale, and Langston Hughes: American Poet, illustrated by Catherine Deeter. The former is for 4- to 8-year-olds; Booklist called the poetic text "eloquent" and praised the "naive-style paintings in neon-bright colors" that "celebrate forest diversity and urban communities across the globe." The latter is for 7- to -11-year-olds; School Library Journal praised the artwork's "lovely, inviting hues." It's a biography of Hughes by Walker that includes two of Hughes's poems.
