Original cartoon by Jack Higgins. Published in the Chicago Sun-Times.
Higgins probes Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s absence, changing the classic milk carton ad to a liquor bottle. Jackson went on medical leave in June 2012. Speculation was that the cause was alcoholism, but news outlets later confirmed that the cause was bipolar disorder.
Jack Higgins won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning, 1989 and was a finalist in 1986. Numerous other awards.
