Item Description
This electrically vivid two-color screen print on gorgeous heavyweight Somerset printmaking paper is one of a signed, limited edition of 20. (It's an artist's proof, with a pencilled AP in the corner -- not visible in our photo -- which apparently makes it EVEN MORE VALUABLE than the rest of the editions.) It's 18" x 24" and eye-searingly bright and crisp and ravishing; our photo doesn't do it justice.
Chris, who has designed numerous rock show posters for the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco, is the illustrator of Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner, which won the Marion Vannett Ridgway Book Award for Illustration in 2012; the New York Times praised Chris's "stunning retro-style illustrations." He's also the illustrator of Yiddish Wisdom: Humor and Heart from the Old Country, and he's done a gazillion gorgeous book covers, including the very distinctive covers of Laurie Halse Anderson's YA classics Chains and Forge.
