Item Description

Ben Liske, individual with autism and son of BCA's Executive Director Juli Liske, painted this version of Chopin's "Prelude" as he experiences it--not just as beautiful music, but as a riot of color as well. Ben is a synesthete, which means that the stimulation of one sensory pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences from a different sensory pathway.

Created for an art auction in 2011, the original sold for $2900. This hand numbered and signed, limited edition, giclée archival quality print comes with a brief essay Ben wrote about his synesthesia and his inspiration for this piece.
