Item Description

Point Reyes National Seashore Association is proud to partner with Nick's Cove & Cottages for a mid-week, overnight stay and 5-course chef's tasting for two with chef Austin Perkins.

You and a friend will enjoy a night of luxury in one of Nick's Cove waterview cottages with a views of Point Reyes National Seashore, Tomales Point and the Tule Elk Preserve.  You will be treated to a elegant waterview cottage, beautifully appointed with plush down comforters, woodburning stove and bathrooms equipped with heated ceramic tile floors. The picturesque setting and tranquil waterside evenings make it the perfect place to unwind and refresh yourself.

Your stay also includes a special 5-course chef's tasting of the freshest seafood and locally-sourced culinary delights prepared by executive chef, Austin Perkins. Nick's Cove Restaurant and Oyster Bar is a destination restaurant for award-winning cuisine in one of the most beautiful coastal settings in all of California. The natural beauty and abundant farm produce of the West Marin coast inspire chef Austin Perkins' seasonal, sustainable and delicious California cuisine. The menu is sourced from local dairy and produce farms, and the fresh seafood of Tomales Bay and nearby waters. Each dish is fresh and approachable, the perfect combination of comfort and refinement, and the very essence of elegant but hearty, farm-to-table cuisine. Savor the flavors in our inspired resturant that feels more like a hunting lodge, complete with restored mahogany bar, wood-burning fireplace, and reclaimed redwood tables. Prior to Nick's Cove, Perkins, a Petaluma-native, worked at the the two-Michelin-starred Cyrus restaurant in Healdsburg, California, where he worked under Executive Chef Douglas Keane. He is a graduate of Tante Marie's Cooking School in San Francisco.

Nick’s is a very special place that honors and respects the area, giving visitors a glimmer of an agrarian life that's so near but really so far from the city consciousness. It seems impossible to believe it's still in the 415 area code. --Michael Bauer, SF Chronicle
