Item Description
Lunch or Dinner with Armand “Zig” Zigahn — Founder, Trustee, and Executive Director of Beneath the Sea — in Bronxville, New York
An enthusiastic scuba diver, Armand Zigahn founded The Scuba Sport Rites Club in 1975. With those members as his working base of volunteers, he then founded Beneath the Sea which is now the largest consumer dive and travel show in America. In March 2013, Beneath the Sea celebrated its 37th year with the help of more than 100 volunteers, and more than 16,000 attendees.
With his wife, Joann, he co-founded Ocean Pals, the children's environmental education section of Beneath the Sea. The Women Diver's Hall of Fame also began its life as a part of Beneath the Sea with Zig as one of its Founders. He is an auxiliary Board Member of The Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences and a charter member of DEMA.
Blackout months are January, February and March 2014 — Zig will be working 24/7 gearing up for BTS 2013.

Item Special Note
Being auctioned is dinner or lunch with one the world’s foremost shark experts or celebrities. It is a unique opportunity to “talk shark” face-to-face, one-on-one, with a real authority on sharks.
How it works:
1. Bid on a celebrity, shark scientist or conservationist that lives or works in your area, unless you are willing to drive or fly to meet them in their area.
2. The winning bidder pays for the lunch or dinner and may bring as many guests as he or she wishes.
3. We will introduce the winning bidder to the celebrity, scientist or conservationist. The two of you then set a mutually agreeable date, time and place to meet within one year of the close of the auction.
All winning bids are charitable contributions deductible from US Federal 2013 income taxes. Funds raised by the auction will be used to support shark research and conservation programs.
