Item Description
Lunch or Dinner with Jeremiah Sullivan - Explorer, Diving Legend and developer of the Neptunic Shark Suit - in San Diego, California
Jeremiah is the developer of the Shark Suit, Founder of his former company Neptunic and his new latest and most exciting endeavor ‘SharkArmor’ Tech.
He is a marine biologist specializing in human shark interactions, shark conservationist, explorer, photographer and developer of specialized protective gear to protect professional, commercial, military and sport divers who must work or dive in hazardous conditions, including the industry standard: Jeremiah’s SharkArmor SharkSuits, a flexible chain mail suit of armor.
Jeremiah is recognized as the pioneer of extreme interactions with sharks. Using protective gear he developed, he has sustained thousands of shark bites with no significant injuries to himself, divers in his care, or the sharks with which he works.
Jeremiah’s success in working with sharks, along with his many appearances in television programs like Wild Kingdom since the early 80's, shattered many myths about sharks and helped pave the way for what is now a global shark diving industry, not to mention Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.
In addition to his work with sharks, Jeremiah maintains parallel careers in both art and science. He has participated in over 100 television and film projects, as well as museum and technology exhibits including the Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Vitra Design Museum in Essen, Germany, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei, The Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan and was a top nominee for the INDEX Award 2007 in Copenhagen. In March 2008, Jeremiah received, among other inquiries, a request for participation from the Royal Armouries in London.

Item Special Note
Being auctioned is dinner or lunch with one the world’s foremost shark experts or celebrities. It is a unique opportunity to “talk shark” face-to-face, one-on-one, with a real authority on sharks.
How it works:
1. Bid on a celebrity, shark scientist or conservationist that lives or works in your area, unless you are willing to drive or fly to meet them in their area.
2. The winning bidder pays for the lunch or dinner and may bring as many guests as he or she wishes.
3. We will introduce the winning bidder to the celebrity, scientist or conservationist. The two of you then set a mutually agreeable date, time and place to meet within one year of the close of the auction.
All winning bids are charitable contributions deductible from US Federal 2013 income taxes. Funds raised by the auction will be used to support shark research and conservation programs.
