Point Reyes National Seashore Association is over the moon to partner with Motel Inverness for a special two-night stay in the Heart's Desire Suite and a moonlight adventure for four with naturalist Michael Ellis of Footloose Forays.
Motel Inverness began its life as a small motel in the fifties, when America hit the road in search of a new adventure. Now you can continue that tradition and Experience Your America, with a delightful getaway in the heart of Inverness. Invite up to three guests to join you for two lovely nights at Motel Inverness’s Heart’s Desire Suite, overlooking Tomales Bay and the Giacomini Wetlands. The motel, which is much more like a lodge, is surrounded on three sides by wildlife preserves and salt marshes. You and your guests can gather around the massive fireplace, unwind with a game of pool, or simply relax in a rocker facing the bay.
Your experience also includes a moonlit, naturalist-led hike with esteemed world traveler, and naturalist Michael Ellis of Footloose Forays. Michael will tailor a sunset/moonlight hike based on your group's interest and skill level. Michael is truly one-of-kind, and is infectious with his enthusiasm and passion for the great outdoors. He has been described as:

As well as leading his own natural history forays, Michael also guides trips for Point Reyes National Seashore Association. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Botany and Master's in Marine Biology. He continues his life-long education by traveling the world learning and teaching classes.
