They take impetus from the Japanese Folk Tale of Tanabata, where two stars come together once a year and wishes come true. The character images and print matrix are altered and manipulated from Japanese film. This particular image is from Sisters Of The Gion 1936 .
Framed size is 13" x 10" in enameled white wood.
