Item Description
Experience the excitement of springtime by learning how maple syrup is made in the maple ridges of Lutsen, Minnesota. Bring your family and tour the 300-acre sugar bush on snowshoes, tap maple trees, collect maple sap, and taste fresh maple syrup off of an afternoon boil. Join family members Chris, Greg, and Kirstin (owners of the largest maple syrup producing venture in the Midwest) for a 4-6 hour hands-on experience, and leave the day with a gallon of freshly made award winning maple syrup and a dozen maple sugar candies.
With nearly 20,000 taps, we have the largest maple syrup producing sugar bush in the state of Minnesota. It provides all the maple syrup for Wild Country Maple Products. We believe strongly in sustainable agricultural and forestry practices and strive to follow those principles in all of our operations - from special care of maple trees to the use of recycled materials in all building projects. Wild Country is currently certified organic through MOSA - Midwest Organic Services Association. For more information, visit www.wildcountrymaple.com
Item Special Note
Please note the experience is somewhat weather dependent, and modifications will be made as much as possible. Visitors are requested to bring their own snowshoes for walking through the woods during snowy months. April is best month to take advantage of this opportunity.
