Item Description
There is more than 100 hrs. of labor by master model builder Vaclav Niedermertl. Build entirely from scratch using only wood, museum board, and a pulp based compound, Vaclav has been a master boat make for most of his life and received numerous bronze and silver medals in both his homeland of the Check Republic and in Vienna where he won the silver and bronze medals of Europe from NAVGA. These models are not mass produced but build one at a time.
SS Jeremiah O'Brien is a liberty ship built during World War II and named for Smerican Revolutionary War ship Captain Jeremiah O'Brien (1744-1818). the Jeremiah O'Brien is a rare survivor of the 6,939 ship armada[3] that stormed Normandy on D-Day, 1944. The model is signed by the builder and mounted on wood base. Our model is grey, black and red and measures: 3' 6" long x 11 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" deep.
