Grammy-award winning songwriter Jon Vezner needs no introduction. Jon’s catalogue of recorded songs, topped by the poignant "Where've You Been," reflects his straight-to-the heart sensibility and sensitivity. Vezner weaves the particulars of his own feelings with the lives of people he has known into universal themes that deeply touch listeners' emotions.

Jon’s accomplishments as a songwriter are paralleled by the rich friendships he has formed in the musical world and his generosity supporting places he believes in. Notably, Jon stepped forward in 2001 to help North House in its earliest years, proposing that he “bring a few of his friends up North to host a fundraising event.” The result: North House’s hallmark fall event, Unplugged - an iconic under-the-big-top gathering on the North Shore featuring performers such as Kathy Mattea, Michael McDonald, Dougie MacLean, Cheryl Wheeler, John Gorka, Lake Superior Swimmers, Mountain Stage Radio Show and so many more.

This live auction item (to be auctioned off Saturday evening, September 14th during Unplugged’s reception) features a home concert with Jon Vezner. Jon will travel to your home, cabin or other agreed upon destination to present a relaxed evening of musical entertainment. The house concert may be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time but must take place before Sept 30, 2014. Please see special instructions regarding geographic requirements.

The winner of this auction item will be given Jon Vezner’s contact information to set up a specific time and date for the concert. The gathering may take place anywhere within sixty miles of either the Twin Cities, Duluth or Grand Marais, Minnesota. The recipient is responsible for hosting all aspects of the event, including any necessary meals or lodging for Jon. For sites outside of the defined geographic region, compensation for travel expenses will need to be provided by the recipient, as well. Jon will provide all required musical instruments. No sound system will be provided as this is a private home concert.
