Item Description
Two season tickets to the Killington Music Festival's 32nd concert season Music in the Mountains Concert Series. Summer of 2014.
For six weeks each summer the Killington Music Festival brings together aspiring young musicians and a nurturing international faculty. With the beauty of the Green Mountains as a backdrop the Festival allows dedicated students to focus on their musical growth through solo and chamber music study, master classes and frequent student concerts. The limited enrollment and collegial atmosphere of the festival assures personal attention for each student.
The Killington Music Festival is now in its 31st season, the Killington Music Festival, a non-for-profit organization, is the only resident professional classical music organization in central Vermont. Each summer about 100 students gather at Killington from institutions such as the Juilliard School of Music, Boston Conservatory, The New England Conservatory, The Manhattan School of Music, Peabody Conservatory, Eastman School of Music and the University of Arizona. These musicians come to the area to play chamber music and to teach string students. Performances by the faculty and invited guest artists have made the Festival a mainstay of summer culture in the region. The young musicians who attend the Killington Residency Program are graduate, college and talented high school students. Many of our students, as well as many alumni, are members of chamber groups and orchestras in the United States as well as in other countries.
