Santeros are known for taking whatever nature provides and utilizing it to make beauty. Antonio uses whatever wood nature gives him. He sees his art in the wood and then brings it to the surface. Antonio also makes crucifixes and nichos.

About the artist, Antonio Padilla:
Antonio Padilla was born in Santa Fe, NM. Before his death, Antonio's father Leo Padilla was a well-known santero. Antonio, Leo's oldest son inherited Leo's artistic talent and passion. His interest lay in his faith and he strives to exhibit his faith through his art.
