Item Description
First release CD's signed by the artist with intuitive, musical reflections on the life of Saint Francis of Assisi and a pelgrimage in his footsteps from the Netherlands to Assisi and Rome by Frank Jenniskens d'Ollanda (from the Netherlands) on violin, viola, Native American flutes (single and double), voice in gongdrum, Koshi windchimes and various indigenous sound instruments.
The CD will be released in August 2013 and is a remake totally remixed based on tracks recorded in 1999 directly after his pilgrimage and tracks of his CD "Soun & Surrender" recorded on an estate in the Netherlands where he gave musical sessions for 7 years during intensive, silent one-week retreats.
In the CD bird-soundscapes from this estate are included recorded by Jos Korenromp, specialized in recording bird-sounds.
This totally new mix reflects not only the light, joyous parts of Saint Francis life but also gives sound to the profound periods of desolation, desperation and disappointment that Saint Francis went through before he received through the Seraphim angels the stigmata in La Verna (near Florence, Italy).
Through deep identification with Saint Francis Frank could give sound from within and in this way could find the many-layered meaning of his birth-names "Franciscus Seraphinus Maria".
More backgrounds of the CD can be found on his website www.sound-heart.nl or thourgh the special facebookpage in English: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Francesco-CD-Passion-Light-and-Profound/417039911739130?fref=ts
