Lasso a friend and head out to Point Reyes for an overnight in the Olema Valley overlooking the dynamic ridge line of Point Reyes National Seashore with our friends at the Inn at Roundstone Farm. Perched on the Olema hill, owners Frank Borodic and Karen Anderson care for the family farm raising Connemaras and Arabian horses. The inn's namesake comes from a village named Roundstone in the Connemara district of western Ireland, where this type of horse first roamed as wild ponies. The farm and keepers are warm and friendly and carry on the family-tradition of providing a place for people to relax and re-energize themselves. You and your guest will check into your room named after the view it shares and enjoy the quiet country elegance of this home away from home. Each stay includes access to your private guest room with an heirloom mattress, goose down comforter and custom wooded headboard, a warming fireplace, your own private bath with shower and tub; high-speed wireless access, fresh flowers and more. This popular ride will take you and your guest up to Fir Top, the second highest peak along Inverness Ridge. As you pass through California bay groves, Douglas fir and Bishop pine forests, you have a chance to view the Olema Valley and even glimpse the ocean. Afterwards, head back to the inn to relax in the hot tub, or take a downhill walk to one of the two restaurants located in downtown Olema for an evening meal.
