A note from the artist, Salvador Heredia, of Rodalvas Pottery:
I learned the basics of pottery around 1975 in high school. I graduated in 1977, went to work for General Motors--self imposed hard labor for 30 years. While in Tennessee, I was given a membership for one of my birthdays by my wife to a place called the Art House--2 Victorian houses on one property, one was an art bar, one was an art gallery/studio. That is where I started throwing again. We moved to Albuquerque in 2006. In 2007, I became a public member of ASUNM Crafts at the University of New Mexico. I don't have a studio, I do most of my work at the studio at the University. Not a Fine Arts Major. I have never studied under anyone famous. I am a self-taught potter.
